Laura Mann, Founder and Board President

We are saddened to announce that we have lost our founder Laura Mann.  Laura died peacefully October 19, 2009.

The funeral will be at Ohavi Zedek Synagogue on Wednesday, October 21 at 10 am.  188 N Prospect St., Burlington, VT

The Dhatri Foundation grew out of Laura Mann's studies of world cultures and religions, her experiences as a family nurse practitioner and community based-midwife, and most recently as woman and mother of two young children who has had to face her mortality by way of Stage 4 breast cancer.  Since September, 2005 Laura has learned to thrive through the help of integrating western medicine and a vast array of complementary healing and movement arts. 

Realizing that love, compassion, touch, and the support of family, friends and community has played such a significant role in her own healing, Laura was compelled to share her experience with others. She hopes that Dhatri can play a role in helping others connect with a broad array of healing modalities as they seek wellness and balance in their lives.
